Working in partnership

Human beings are social creatures. We seek out company, in life and at work. So working for yourself, from a home office, can be an isolating experience. How do you keep your motivation, creativity and social skills? Easy: work with someone fantastic!

The Partnership Lab

That's why I'm so delighted to announce a new association with The Partnership Lab, founded by Sam Barnett. Sam and I met at the University of Strathclyde some years ago, working together on a project to engage staff in the institution's new strategy. It was a great experience working with Sam, so I was really pleased when she got in touch earlier this year to let me know she was setting up a new company. Then I got to thinking. What if we could repeat the great partnership we had back then and put it to good use working for our clients now? So that's what we did.

Why do we work well together? Well, we share goals and values. Both Sam and I work hard to make things as straightforward as possible, applying common sense to get to a solution quickly. We also believe in thinking creatively, challenging 'traditional' ideas and approaches, and coming up with new ideas. We know that your people hold the key to the challenges faced by your organisation, and we're committed to working closely with them to understand their points of view and to encourage them to try something different. Most importantly, we believe that working in collaboration is the key to success in today's world.
